Pope Calls Armenian Genocide by What it is -- Genocide

Pope Francis on his recent visit to Turkey dropped a bombshell. It's always been a tenuous political issue to call the killing of the Armenians in Turkey at the turn of the 20th century 'genocide'. Well the Pope stopped all that by saying exactly that, it was genocide. His reasoning was simply that history needs to have an honest portrayal of actual events. Turkey in response ousted the Vatican ambassador and unequivocally stated that history is wrong and the numbers were inflated. It will look very mad on Turkey if they how to do is the distinction of being the first country in the modern era to attempt the eradication of a people group.
